The filter works by forcing dirty water through a series of DE-coated grids in a hollow tank. This dirty water traps debris and is forced out of the filter tank via a valve. This agitation helps expose fresh DE powder and can extend the life of the filter. To maintain its efficiency, the DE filter needs to be backwashed periodically to clear the filter of any fine debris.
Choosing the right size pool filter
